Group Provides On-Line Store for OGE Energy
Employees can
purchase OGE and Enogex branded items
OKLAHOMA
CITY – Just in time for the holidays, OGE Energy Corp.’s new Web-based company
store from the Gizmo Group is available online.
The
store is the sole source for ordering and purchasing all OGE and Enogex branded
merchandise through a single vendor. Gizmo Group is the only vendor authorized
to supply company-branded items.
“Using
a single vendor has many advantages for the company, including brand
management, cost management and improved technology,” said Brian Alford,
Director of Corporate Communications and Community Relations for OGE. “The new
store Web site allows members to quickly and efficiently purchase items at
competitive prices.”
To
browse through the company store, employees simply click on an icon on the
company’s “MemberNet” intranet site and enter a password to browse or order
items.
Both
the OGE and Enogex sites contain approximately 35 base items including a
variety of apparel, such as shirts and hats, and premiums, such as key chains
and pens. To purchase any of these items, the shopper will be prompted to
create a unique username and password.
Company
store orders can be placed using a credit card or company-issued Purchase Order.
Typically, turnaround time will be less than five business days. Employees may
choose to have items shipped to their homes for an additional shipping fee.
Employees
also can place special orders through the company’s Gizmo Group representative,
Rick Casner, vice president of sales and marketing for Gizmo.

Enogex enhance their image with exciting and innovative promotional items,” Casner

The
process to determine a single vendor began earlier this year when OGE Corporate
Communications, in conjunction with the supply chain group, issued a request
for proposals. The company received responses from more than 15 vendors, and
Gizmo Group was chosen through a rigorous selection process. Gizmo Group offers
a wide selection of leading products at competitive prices. It also provides
high quality service via phone or e-mail seven days a week.
