I hear many people complaining that budgets are being cut and they can't market anymore. I have found this to be true but only for the most expensive forms of advertising such as TV and media advertising.
For those on the fence, I want to stress to you...DO NOT STOP MARKETING AND ADVERTISING. Since there are clearly less opportunities to do business, you must be proactive and do all you can to get the business that is available. Sitting by the phone waiting for the business to come to you will not work and you will not survive.
Be smart with what you do have to spend! Promotional products are very cost effective forms of advertising which can be hyper-directed to those who can do business with you. Focus your efforts on those activities, businesses and people whom you can do the most business with. You do not have to spend lots of money on expensive promotional items. We can make anything in any budget look good with an eye-catching imprint.
The unintended consequence of marketing heavily during a slow economy is increased business when the economy recovers. You will be top-of-mind when other businesses are ready to buy. Your efforts will be rewarded for years to come.
